Mike's Astrophotography

About

Welome to my website.

I am a keen amateur Astrophotographer based on the South Coast of the United Kingdom. Although I have always had an interest in Stargazing and photography, it wasn’t until I joined the Southampton Astronomical Society 3 years ago that I really had the support to push this forward.

Having bought a Celestron 102 with a camera it allowed me to take my first steps into Astrophotography. This telescope allowed me to take photos of the Moon, Jupiter etc. However, this telescope was excellent it was time consuming to use. I then bought a dwarf lab 2 and then the current ones I use from Seestar. S30, S30Pro and S50.

The scopes I use are controlled by an app and I set them up in my garden to stargaze and take photos for me. I try to do a minimum of 2 hours at least for each item I photograph.

I have put all of my photos (Good and Bad) on this site and the only processing I have done is with the AI within the App. I will be learning how to process properly using software and my ultimate aim is to put those up as well.

Please feel free to provide comments and support but please remember I am only a keen Amateur and not an expert.

If you are interested in any prints you see please mail me and I will respond.

I hope you enjoy my work.
